Mrs Mac's Presents - A Creative Journey: Part 2

Mrs Mac's Presents - A Creative Journey: Part 2

Get to know our projectionist, Shadow Data.

For Part 2 of our creative journey we catch up with Kye Howard. For those of you that don’t know, Kye is the Perth-based member of the UK-based Shadow Data collective. Shadow Data is a projection-mapping and digital creative team born in Cambridge, UK with members Ben Tenison-Smith and Pete Boatfield still living in London. Kye, however has made the move out to Australia for a few sunny months, and has been teaming up with fellow projectionist Combs and working on a few personal projects.

Shadow Data creates projection mapping, motion graphics, CGI, films, music videos, interactive media, Animation, 3D modelling, web design, touring Shows, VJ, video streaming and event design.

The guys have been involved in some rather interesting bits and pieces. Having worked with Warning (UK's longest running D&B night) for some time they recently decided that they wanted to bend a few thousand peoples' minds by handing out 3D glasses to ravers and mapping 3D projection content across the massive Warning set. Other epic shows include the time that they transformed Cambridge University with their projection mapping; we can only imagine what it would look like bring to life 600-year-old buildings.

Kye’s english wit, love of pies, beers and getting weird made the weekend away even more fun - plus he is an easy beat on FIFA. Come and see why Kye was the perfect candidate for our roadtrip, and just wait and see what he does in part 5.

Remember Mrs Mac's are running an awesome roaaadtriiiip competition that can land you $400 for the best roadtrip photo or a new GoPro and $100 cash for the best video. Click HERE to check it out and see the T&C's.
