Nina Kraviz, Ben UFO, Black Madonna + more: Meet your Pitch Festival 2020 lineup
The Victorian festival continues to pull the big guns in electronic music, with an all-star lineup billed for 2020.
Pitch Music & Arts Festival has always had a knack for crafting A-grade electronic lineups a little left of centre. Much like international comparables in London's Field Day and Amsterdam's Dekmantel, the regional Victorian festival often cater to the left-field world of house, techno and sub-genres often bounded within these two realms, welcoming a long list of names every year that often encompass the names both recognisable and emerging, with everyone from Four Tet to Nina Kraviz passing on full, national tours to instead play the community-build club event.
Today marks the arrival of their 2020 lineup and as expected, it's another long list of names that are all among the off-kilter brand of house and techno, including some of this sound's biggest names and most exciting up-and-comers from both Australia and the greater, international house scene. Ben UFO, The Black Madonna, Maceo Plex, Marcel Dettmann, Midland, Nina Kraviz, Objekt, Richie Hawtin and Stephan Bodzin are among the festival's biggest drawcards for this year, encapsulating the highest talents of the genre which seemingly, come to Australia far more often nowadays thanks to festivals like Pitch.
Elsewhere, the 2020 lineup has one of its strongest Australian contingents in a long while, with acts like Hiatus Kaiyote, Collarbones, Kllo and Late Nite Tuff Guy - three acts that all fall into this left-field, forward-thinking electronica umbrella - sitting side-by-side with a range of acts that feel like the country's future in dance music: Skin On Skin, Memphis LK, Jordan Brando, Fantastic Man and DJ Boring all included.
It's a big lineup, so dive into it all below, and catch more information on the festival HERE. Register for pre-sale tickets HERE, which start at $300.
