Go behind the scenes of Star Wars: Rogue One

Rogue One celebrates its impending release in style.

Over three months ago, Star Wars fans got their first look at Rogue One, the first stand-alone film in the Star Wars universe and ninth overall (following last years Star Wars: The Force Awakens). The teaser trailer, less than two minutes in length, quickly grabbed millions of views from casual and die-hard Star Wars fans alike, with anticipation for the film's release — expected to be December of this year — sky high.

Now, less than six months from the film's expected release date, fans have been given a behind the scenes look at the action and awe of Rogue One. Led by director Gareth Edwards, the same name behind 2014's Godzilla reboot, and lead actress Felicity Jones, the behind the scenes glimpse of Rogue One's production further offers an out of this world adventure befitting the Star Wars legacy — carving, in the process, a new direction for the hugely popular franchise.

Watch the Rogue One celebration reel blow, and get excited for the next chapter of Star Wars to hit cinemas in December.
