Listen: Post Malone Feat. 1stDown - Tear$

Texas talent Post Malone brings PARTYNEXTDOOR vibes with his new track.

Cloud rap! Texas artist Post Malone has been on our radar since we heard the amazing White Iverson, that quickly became buzzworthy, with over 700,000 streams on Soundcloud. Malone has a melancholy warble similar to Makonnen, and his voice sits nicely over FKi's swirling, low-slung trap R & B beat; the final effect is very PARTYNEXTDOOR.

I'm going to let Passion of the Weiss introduce Post Malone to you, because there's no way I could do it better.

It’s 2015. Another pallid crooner seemingly unconcerned with cultural appropriation has emerged. He’s from Dallas and looks like Riff Raff’s hirsute Tumblr bred cousin. Less neon, more ripped denim and dead-eyed photos. The braids, of course, remain braided. His name is Post Malone.

In fact, Post Malone's new track Tear$ was on high rotation at my house this weekend as I threw out a bunch of ripped denim and neon; I found his uplifting-but-sad, Makonnen-y melancholy warble the perfect soundtrack to cleaning out my wardrobe. The track's all about how Post Malone deals with sadnness and despression by throwing down on new Supreme gear "I wipe my tears with my money yeah."  Whoever said money doesn't buy happiness has clearly never watched a young rapper buy a Rolex off'a his Youtube plays.

The track's produced by FKi, an Atlanta-based rap producer duo, who were behind Travis Porter's Make It Rainand recently made an EP with Atlanta's Key! (of Wrist fame), called FKey!. Stream Tear$ below.
