Kali Uchis is a new act on the block; hailing from Colombia her fresh-off-the-press mixtape Por Vida (translates to English as 'lifetime') brings some serious fire in the form of producers like Kaytranada, Tyler The Creator and BADBADNOTGOOD. One of the stand-out tracks, Rush, is pure fire, as if a couple of the world's most on-point producers like Kaytranada and BADBADNOTGOOD just came together for a jam session. And out of that gig you get all that you could want; the low-slung bass line from Kay, the soulful zest courtesy of BBNG, and some sultry strutting delivered in the form of Kali Uchis’s killer vocals.
