Stream Doe Paoro's intoxicating new album, After, in full

We're really proud to stream Doe Paoro's new LP a few days ahead of its official release.

Getting its official release this Friday 25 September for ANTI- Records, After is both an epic and intimate album from formerly New York, now LA-based songwriter Doe Paoro. And working with the likes of Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and Sean Carey, along with Chicago duo Supreme Cuts and Sterling Fox (Lana Del Rey), it's not hard to see why the LP traverses a broad spectrum of sounds. From melancholic, introspective electronica and sultry, groove-laden R&B to synth-pop and indie-electronic, After is a strunning release from start to finish.

The album was recorded in a Wisconsin ranch house that Vernon had converted into a studio, and gave Paoro a world to play with time, space and mood that is ever-changing throughout the album's 11 tracks: "Many of the songs come from a feeling of loss, and the period of reflection that unfolds after you’ve realize something’s ended," says Paoro, who co-wrote After with a number of songwriters that included the aforementioned Fox, Peter Morén (Peter Bjorn & John), Max Hershenow (MS MR), and Adam Rhodes. "There’s a lot of reckoning with regret, but at the same time, there’s a feeling of surrender."

It's pop music you can really get stuck into, at times challenging, always intriguing, and an exciting next chapter for a promising artist. We hope you enjoy the stream below, and you can pre-order After via iTUNES.
