Premiere: Wolfjay drops the loved-up vid for latest single, She Calls To Me

The Adelaide-based producer's latest single is one of the local highlights of the year thus far, and the video only makes it better.

In case you're yet to be acquainted, Wolfjay is an Adelaide-based musician and multi-instrumentalist who, with his recent single She Calls To Me, has proved to be a rising force you should really be keeping an eye on. Half indie, half electronic, She Calls To Me is a euphoric, percussion-driven single that feels like a warm hug, giving off some rather Tourist-esque vibes with its washed-out, dreamy feel. The single's video clip, premiering today on Pilerats, only cements this romantic, loved-up feel, matching the single's warmness with a video about how love can make even the most mundane things in life feel like a dream.

A cross-state partnership with Newcastle filmmaker Dominic Fitzgerald and Adelaide photographer Luella Anabeth, She Calls To Me's video highlights the single's brilliant lyrical storytelling, with Wolfjay confirming that he felt the track was the perfect backbone to create his first music video. "The lyrics of She Calls To Me are so visual that I thought the song would be perfect my first music video," he confirms in a statement accompanying the premiere. "We shot it all in Adelaide, on the streets we walk through, the shops we visit, the public transport we ride every day. It was such a special experience being able to reinterpret all the love that went into the song in the production of the video, and to be able to collaborate with Luella, Dominic, Tova, and Lucas on making it." Watch the video below, and be sure to keep an eye on Wolfjay as he continues to soar following the success of his best single to date - he's definitely one to watch.
