Premiere: Jake Carmody takes Vance Joy's Georgia On My mind into the future

Gold Coast-based producer Jake Carmody has been building a name for himself with a consistent stream of killer unofficial remixes for the likes of Peking Duk and Golden Features, and today he's back at it again with this chilled, future-beat take on Vance Joy's cover of Georgia On My Mind. Like an experienced lover taking you on your first trip to the rodeo, Carmody's take starts out gently, before really kicking into gear way past the one-minute mark. From there it's a thumping mix of heavy bass, swelling synths and an unexpected but very welcome sea of steel drums. Enough of my attempt at talking about music in a semi-respectable fashion though, take a listen for yourself:
