Listen: Budjerah - Ready For The Sky

Listen: Budjerah - Ready For The Sky

Fresh from shows in the UK and US, Budjerah is back with his latest slice of soul / R&B goodness ahead of tomorrow's Splendour performance.

A couple of years ago we met emerging singer-songwriter Budjerah as he made a glorious debut with the release of Missing You. Fast forward to the present day, and the young artist is fresh from performing to audiences in London, Los Angeles and New York as he releases his latest track Ready For The Sky, before appearing at Splendour in the Grass tomorrow, at A More Perfect Union festival (created by Gang of Youths, Jungle Love Festival) in August, Bigsound in September, and as special guest for Vance Joy on the Australian leg of his world tour September to November.

Irresistible smooth, Ready For You is a warm slice of soul meets R&B. Grounded in a steady rhythm and grooving bassline, subtle guitar plucks and atmospheric synths back Budjerah’s powerful yet agile voice. Produced by Chris Collins, Budjerah shares that  Ready For The Sky was written back in 2020 - when everyone really wanted to go out and have fun again and I wanted to talk about that ambitious feeling I had of being ready to go back into the world.”

Be sure to give Budjerah’s Ready For The Sky a listen below, as it enters the world today!
