Premiere: Antony & Cleopatra take us on a trip through pop culture in the video for Dust

The soulful future-pop single cops an official, EGO-directed video clip.

Talking about their single Dust earlier in the year, we gave cross-continental electronic duo Antony & Cleopatra the title of being one of the smoothest and most soulful duos in the electronic music world right now. In the time since, the pairing have gone on to confirm this with a untypically down-tempo and dizzying collaboration with Aussie house star Motez last week, which today they've followed up with the official video for their soulful future-pop banger Dust. The black-and-white video combines Dust's bouncy, future-funk vibe with a contrastingly nostalgic and retro video clip, which glides through some of pop culture's finest pairings - such as Bieber and Diddy with bottles of bubbly, a bald Britney Spears paired with an umbrella and a whole heap of couples and friendships throughout culture's history. “The video for Dust is a modern take on a Bacchanalian evening with loads of odd couples indulging in excess," says the duo on the clip, viewable below. "As the song is all about the opposite of moderation, EGO brought our idea to life by beginning with a playful romantic feel and then slowly descending into a paranoid 4 AM bender."
