Mura Masa hits gold with his remix of Foals' Night Swimmers

An enchanting garage cut of one of What Went Down's best tracks.

It seems that no matter what sound Mura Masa touches, he strikes gold. Whether it be the hard-hitting trap thumper Lotus Eater, the smooth and sultry What If I Go?, or the up-beat, euphoric Lovesick Fuck, it just manages to work every time. His new remix continues that, dipping into the realms of blissful garage for a dark remix of Foals’ Night Swimmers and as per usual – he nailed it. Taking the vocals from Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis, Mura magically transforms the track into a hypnotic triumph, layering syncopated percussion and throbbing synth underneath the vocals. His remix of Night Swimmers is a rollercoaster of a ride, with light, upbeat vocal chops contrasting the gloomy tone brought in by the first verse. Although, my favourite bit comes in right towards the end with the outro, where Mura layers the single’s light, trailblazing guitar riff and coats it with some half Bonobo-esque, half Burial-esque percussion. Listen to the remix below and join us in praying that his Australian tour dates are announced soon.
