Listen to the title track from ShockOne's just-released new EP, In This Light

Not content with dominating Perth's drum'n'bass scene, ShockOne is now ready to take on the rest of the country and beyond.

Even if you're just a newbie to Perth's club scene, chances are you've seen ShockOne DJ more than you've seen some of your close relatives. Over the past few years, the Perth producer and DJ has built himself a reputation for heavy, genre-twisting live shows and productions, dabbling in the realms of drum and bass before it was the 'it' thing. In the past couple of months, I feel ShockOne has really lifted his game commercially - signing to Falcona, finishing up a mammoth tour with fellow Perth brothers in arms Command Q, and now dropping In This Light, the title track from his recently released EP.

In This Light sees Shockone really shake up his sound, aside from the last drop, it doesn't really delve too heavily into his drum and bass roots, instead it deals with more of a euphoric, Porter Robinson-esque synth sound. Savoi's anthemic vocals add to this feel-good, euphoric vibe that is carried through the single's instrumental, all building into what I can picture to be a really cool set closer when it comes to his live shows. Listen to the single below and if you like it, check out his recently released flip of Jamie XX's I Know There's Gonna Be Good Times HERE.
