Listen to the follow-up to that Biggie x Flume mixtape - B.I.G Flume Part 2Pac

Part 2 in things you never knew you wanted until you heard it:

Back in 2013, the world was greeted with this. Crafted by two Perth artists – Jaymee Franchina and Jeremy Smith (now known as etcetc artist Palais) – the project mashed up old Notorious B.I.G. tracks with instrumentals from Flume’s acclaimed self-titled LP and, despite not being a thing that was asked by a single person ever, proved to be wildly successful, ranking up millions of plays and a couple of hundreds of thousands of downloads. One half of the project, DJ Jaymee Franchina, decided to celebrate the release of Flume’s sophomore effort Skin by combining 2Pac demos with instrumentals from the album in the same way (however, this time people were actually asking for it). Included in the album, are mash-ups of the Hottest 100-winning Never Be Like You with 2Pac’s 1998 anthem Changes, Say It with Ghetto Gospel, and even mash-ups between 2Pac acapellas with instrumentals from Flume’s tidy Skin Companion 1 EP from late last year. Listen to the full record below via BandCamp, and although it’s a free download, feel free to throw some money at it if you’re digging it. There’s nothing better than supporting your locals, right?
