Listen: The Japanese House - Clean

One of the world's most exciting young producers.

Amber Bain AKA The Japanese House is hands down one of my favourite artists to emerge from 2015. Her first two singles, Still and Pools To Bathe In, have been on high rotation since I first had the pleasure of listening to them. And now I can add Clean, the title track from her upcoming EP, to that list. That first delicate bit of saxophone in the beginning was all it took. The rest is another piece of restrained, brooding and melancholic electronica, drenched in equal parts nostalgia and future. I've put a big red circle around November 6, which is when Clean is due for release, and I'll just quietly put a cheeky tenner on her making the trip down to Australia for Laneway next year.
