Premiere: Watch the engrossing video clip for middle child's new single, Collective

The clip is a collaboration with US-based director Chelsy Mitchell.

Hamish Barnes is a dude who used to be in a band called Arthur Beatrice, but has just launched a new solo project called middle child. Collective is the downbeat, low slung first taste of the project, and it comes to you today with a pretty fantastic video clip, directed by Chelsy Mitchell. According to Barnes, the clip is "an abstract piece which is supposed to capture Chelsy’s interpretation of the song and the lyrics with little to no direction from me, the artist. I gave her some key words and some thoughts on how the characters could interact and she got a team together and sent this back. A new way of working for us both, but a really interesting process all the same."

Starring sisters Emily and Elanor and styled by Some Girls, the whole package is a winner as far as we're concerned - check it out below:
