Listen: Thandi Phoenix - Come Around [Premiere]

Earlier this year we ran a piece about The Changing Face Of Hip Hop in Australia, and one of the many faces in that article was Sydney's Thandi Phoenix. Bringing a fresh, soulf-based sound to Australian electronic/R&B scene, Phoenix has been killing it since kicking things off in 2014 and working with the likes of Ta-ku, B-Wise and Coin Banks. And she's about ready to grab 2015 by the scruff of the neck with new single Come Around, a single that starts out pretty mellow before it launches into a huge chorus, crafting a truly gripping song.

She'll be appearing at Splendour In The Grass next weekend, along with a mainstage set at Soulfest, and has collaborations with Club Feet, Indian Summer and Sid Pattni to come, plus her first run of headline shows coming towards the end of the year. Phoenix is definitely one to watch, and she's gonna make it pretty easy to do so by the sounds of things with a busy rest of the year to come:
