The good times are truly rolling with this collaboration.

For Jamie xx, the good times are truly rolling right now. After 23-year-old Jamaican dancehall king Popcaan gave us a little hint of the track last month, the English producer has released the full version of I Know (There’s Gonna Be Good Times) teaming up with Popcaan and Atlanta rapper Young Thug. The new track is set to feature on Jamie xx’s upcoming album In Colour. The song stays true to its title. And how could this track not be a g-time with this weird yet wonderful trinity of musicians? Jamie xx lays down a glistening bright beat accompanied by Popcaan’s powerful dancehall melodies and Thug well… just being Thug.

While this song could be the feel good hit of the American summer, Young Thug’s sound engineer Alex Tumay has revealed via Twitter that the rapper, heavily inspired by Lil Wayne, took a quite a few weeks of convincing to appear on this track:

Thank you so much Alex Tumay - everybody wins here as Young Thug levels this track up to a 10/10 club tune.

There are really big things happening for these artists this year. Keep an eye out for Jamie xx’s June release In Colour to be released June 2 on Young Turks. Young Thug’s debut album Hy!£UN35 is also set for an August 28 release, watch out for that one too. Listen to I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) below:
