Listen: Connell Cruise - Forever (Sweekuh Remix)

"Conscious pop with three different drops".

Sweekuh is Philadelphia-based producer who's just unleashed his first official major label remix - tackling South African singer/songwriter Connell Cruise's Forever. It's an uplifting and energtic slice of synth-filled acoustic electronica, with Sweekuh himself calling it "concsious pop with three different drops". And all three are definitely there. The first kinda melds into a percussive trop-house jam, the second a thumping, epic drum fill, before the final half-time slow down. Chucking all three in the one remix is a ballsy move, but we get the feeling it's gonna pay off, and if nothing else it's definitely improved on the almost too-poppy original.
