Having only dropped his last album Fragments in January, acclaimed musician, producer and DJ Bonobo has followed up the September-released single ATK with Defender, dropping out of nowhere overnight.
Landing decidedly more on the “would work in the club” side of Bonobo’s productions, Defender is a propulsive cut of textural house goodness, gaining momentum and building in energy of the tracks six minute runtime, increasing in intensity with new sonic elements entering the mix seemingly each new phrase. As usual, Bonobo manages to have a whole lot going on in Defender without the track being too busy or elements stealing previous frequency space from others.
Along with ATK, Defender is available on a limited edition 12” white label vinyl.
