Listen: Aela Kae - Told Me That

Aela Kae delivers a hefty atmospheric track in the form of Told Me That.

Wreathed in majestic synths and drawn out bass lines the strength of Told Me That lies in the instrumentals akin to Yujen, albeit the mood is far more striking than the atmospheric nature of Yujen’s music. And while there are vocals buried within the track, they don’t lead and don’t need to because Told Me That’s instrumentals are so powerful. Indeed, at the two-minute mark Aela Kae’s vocals ring out in the distance before being washed away in a wall of sound that could bluntly be described as ‘the drop’ but is better seen as part of a steady sonic evolution within the track.

Told Me That is the third single off Aela Kae’s upcoming debut EP Reverie due June 3.
