"A step away from conventional club music and a step toward traditional songwriting." So says much-adored Aussie producer Golden Features on his new single, Falling Out, the first taste of his forthcoming debut album due later this year. It's a clear statement of intent from the masked dude who in the past has brought us heavy club tracks like Guillotine and Do You. "It's incredibly important to me that this album was built on songs and not single use/disposable club cuts."
That album is surely one of this year's most anticipated, and it comes after a drip-feed of releases over the past 12-18 months, including 2016's Wolfie feat. Julia Stone and the XXIV EP in 2015. We get the feeling 2018 is going to be a landmark year for Golden Features, one that will see him reach some massive heights, and we look forward to strapping in for the ride.
