Watch: Slum Sociable - Anyway

Watch: Slum Sociable - Anyway

A conceptual (and great) video for Slum Sociable’s debut single, Anyway.

When Slum Sociable dropped Anyway they set the bar as one of the Australian acts of 2015 to watch. And the video for Anyway attempts to raise the standard but on first impressions a non-functioning water fountain doesn’t do the job. But what stands out is the eyes in the background. They’re like mimicry of the eyes of Dr. TJ Eckleburg in the The Great Gatsby and they draw you into this fantastical world. In that world the colours seemingly ripple out from the centre of fountain as if reacting to the ebbs and flows of the music. The video clip for Anyway doesn’t attempt to visually stun but rather reward you through repeated viewing as the multitude of subtle elements reveal themselves.
