Watch: Best Coast - Heaven Sent

Watch: Best Coast - Heaven Sent

As their new album draws ever nearer, the California cruisers continue to rock out.

Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno - AKA the talented twosome Best Coast - may be from sunny California, but everything we've heard so far of their new material sounds like they've been hanging out with My Bloody Valentine in England in the late 80s. Just a couple of weeks ago, we heard their new single California Nights, and watched the accompanying video clip, a sunset-washed, trippy journey to the Joshua Tree. Today, comes another blissful blessing, by way of Heaven Sent. It's a big hot mess of fuzzed-out guitars running wild and Bethany Cosentino's smoky vocals; and adopts a faster pace than the drawlier California Nights.

This track also comes with another strong set of visuals: this time, it's a kitsch, karaoke-style clip, with the track's lyrics onscreen against generic visuals of Californian beach backdrops, overlaid with a series of low-pixel animations. BC's third album's out May 4 - jot that date down in your diaries now, because it's shaping up to be a bit of a winner.
