But Surf Rock Is Dead’s single Zen A oozes a nostalgic surf-pop mood with its washed out guitar riffs and depleted vocals. Indeed, the nostalgia rips away the immediacy of surf-rock, leaving only a spectre but this phantasm isn’t to be dismissed.
