Hot on the heels of last year’s single Bully, Boorloo-based indie rockers Lonesome Dove are back with a fuzzed out new single ahead of a fundraiser show for their upcoming east coast tour, with Something Dumb premiering on Pilerats today ahead of its February 24 release!

Packing huge, overblown guitar hooks with a driving rhythm section and vocalist Nici Ward’s sugary vocals providing a nice aural counterpoint, Something Dumb is a big catchy rock song with plenty of pop sensibility, resulting in an addictive earworm from start to finish, and is the second single from Lonesome Dove’s forthcoming debut album.

To celebrate the release of Something Dumb, the band will be heading over east for their first interstate tour, playing a string of dates across Victoria with the likes of Tim Steward (Screamfeeder) and Peter Black (The Hardons) as well as supports from Brodie J Brummer (Flyying Colours) and Lachlan and Snowy from The Ocean Party.

To help get the band over there, they’re holding a fundraiser at Milk Bar on single release day, Feb 24 with a stacked local lineup. Joining Lonesome Dove will be Zerodent, False Cobra, Solar Juice and The Gremlins for a night of alt-rock and punk sounds.
