A few weeks on from releasing their latest soaring single Enjoy The View (that’s seen some love from triple j and community radio around the country) Slim Jimz have followed it up with a music video that more than lives up to the song’s title, premiering on Pilerats today.

Recorded at the Grove studios with producer extraordinaire Jack Nigro (DMA’S, Pacific Avenue, Skeggs) Enjoy The View is the band’s second single for the year and sees them in reflective mode, looking back on the strong bonds the band has built over the years, set to the tone of shimmering guitars and addictive melodies.

With a title like Enjoy The View, you’d expect an accompanying music video to reflect that title and Slim Jimz have more than delivered, with the music video, directed by frequent collaborator Jack Single, that sees the band jamming out on their respective instruments in the gorgeous bush and waterfall surrounds of Kangaroo Island.

Vocalist Ben Roach explains “We had the idea of filming a video for ‘Enjoy The View’ in a picturesque location, somewhere that would paint the picture of a honeymoon period in a relationship. We filmed in two different waterfall locations in Kangaroo Valley NSW. The first was Nellies Glen and the second Belmore Falls, which we had to go off the beaten track a bit to get to. At each waterfall we shot each band member playing their instrument separately. Our filmmaker Jack Single shot on a red gemini (camera) using a canon 18-80mm servo zoom lens for that sweet motorised zoom effect. He did an amazing job of mixing all the footage together with some vocal takes in a super vibey way.”
