Premiere: Super Ghost - Friendless

Gold Coast-based trio deliver a new cut of impassioned & poignant indie rock

A few months on from the release of their last single Don’t Talk About It, Gold Coast-based trio Super Ghost are back with a new single of impassioned indie rock sounds, with Friendless out June 2 but premiering on Pilerats today!

Opening with trebly, sparkly guitar leads and headnod inducing drums, Friendless builds in intensity and momentum to it’s rollicking conclusion, with a few twists and turns along the way. Lyrically, vocalist Hudson MacMahon explores the complexities of disconnecting from one’s personal values and just how hard it can be to ask for help when you need it.

MacMahon expands on this explaining “‘Friendless’ is a powerful exploration of the emotional journey individuals experience when they disconnect from their own values and struggle to admit their need for help. It confronts the complexity of mental health, addressing the stigma surrounding it and the difficulties that arise when someone is too proud to acknowledge their struggles.”

Give Friendless a spin a day ahead of release!
