Stella Donnelly shares new Thrush Metal bonus track, Talking

Fresh from being named as a stand-out act at SXSW, Stella will be back in the country to tour with Alex The Astronaut this April.

There are little artists in Australia right now as exciting as Stella Donnelly. After bringing Thrush Metal to the masses with her debut EP last year, she's only gone up and up and up. She took home five WAM Awards and cemented herself as one of the country's most brilliant acts with the stunning and confronting clip for Boys Will Be Boys, then, fresh from being a stand-out act at Laneway Fremantle (and subbing in for a Methyl Ethel member when they played Falls), she returned with a brilliant video for Mechanical Bull the day she signed a massive international deal with Strictly Canadian. In summary, Stella Donnelly is one of Australia's best and most important acts right now, something which will no doubt only continue into 2018.

With the vinyl release of Thrush Metal approaching this June and a massive round of tour dates with Alex The Astronaut this April, Donnelly has shared the bonus track of her Thrush Metal vinyl Talking, and, in true Stella Donnelly spirit, it's an absolute brilliant gem. Fresh from absolutely slaying it at SXSW (she was named a standout act by The New York Times, NME, LA Times, DIY, NPR and more), Talking highlights Donnelly's incredible skill of stripped-back songwriting, which becomes even more amplified when she strips the single right back for a SXSW recording with NPR Music, also viewable below. Just try not getting caught up in her magic:
