Premiere: Vacuum Dreamer - Pinpricks

Take a first listen to emerging Boorloo-based indie art-rockers new nostalgic slice of addictive alt-rock

Following the release of their debut EP last year, and subsequent community radio and triple J Unearthed support, W.A.’s Vacuum Dreamer are back with a catchy new slice of fuzzed out indie-alt-rock goodness, in the form of new single Pinpricks - out December 7 but premiering on Pilerats today!

Channelling their love of the distorted guitars of Wednesday and the heartfelt songwriting of Snail Mail, Pinpricks sees alternating big blurry guitar riffs with shimmering hooks meet a driving rhythm section, while vocalist Lara Pollard’s enchanting vocals muse “about how it feels to notice the cracks in what you thought was a good relationship.”

The band expand on this, explaining “Pinpricks is a track that focuses on those moments when you're starting to notice cracks in something you thought was once a perfect relationship. When those moments happen, where do you go, what do you do? That's what pinpricks is there to ask.

Give Pinpricks a spin today before it drops December 7, the same night the band launch their new single at The Bird, alongside Safer Than Milk and Mia June!
