Premiere: Listen to Deathbed Visions, another tough cut from Bare Bones' upcoming debut LP
Bad Habits is out Friday May 19.
Continuing a massive run of releases in 2017, hardcore/punk legends Resist Records will be releasing Sydney rockers Bare Bones' debut album, Bad Habits, out Friday May 19, and we're chuffed to get you in the mood with a ferocious new cut from it, Deathbed Visions. Speaking on their signing to Resist, Bare Bones were obviously stoked: "Each one of us cut our teeth in a scene that was pioneered by punk and hardcore bands under the Resist banner, so in that regard Resist has been held in such high esteem by all of us for more than a decade. Being asked to be part of the Resist family was extremely humbling, and feels like the perfect label for what Bare Bones is about."
And Deathbed Visions is a powerful precursor for what is to come. A relentless three-and-a-half minutes that hits with a cracking snare, followed by chunky guitars and the razor sharp vocal work of vocalist Tom Kennedy, it follows on from the equally devastating salvo that was Thick As Thieves, and'll have you salivating at the prospect of the full release this Friday. On the track, Kennedy said: "One of the more driving and aggressive tracks on the album musically, Deathbed Visions is about the feelings of fear and the unknown when I was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, along with dealing with depression, being faced with your own mortality and looking inward to find you're unhappy with your life and realising if it were to all end I knew I hadn't achieved what I wanted."
