Premiere: Bootleg Rascal break tradition in the new video clip for With You

Dropping the narrative structure of previous efforts for a surreal new beast ahead of some shows in North America.

Following on from the release of latest single, With You, indie-dub dudes Bootleg Rascal now have its weird and most definitely wonderful video treatment - a departure from the group's previous video output in the sense it doesn't follow the traditional narrative format. The band collaborated with Director/Producer Dan Hodgson to make a series of short scenes, drawing inspiration from Inception and crafting a kinda lucid dream. According to guitarist Jimmy Young, "Rather than stick to a conventional and cohesive narrative, we wanted the clip to be completely incongruous; jumping from scene-to-scene erratically to accentuate the dream-like experience for viewers. It’s a collection of intriguing standalone shots, which loosely connect in a more underlying and haunting type feel.”

And we think you'll dig it. Take a gander below, and if you're from North America and reading this, the group are headed your way soon for a brief US tour, head to their FACEBOOK for more info.
