Listen: Royal Headache - Another World

Royal Headache's Another World sounds like The Jam have returned in 2015.

Royal Headache's Another World is as if The Jam decided, "Screw this breaking up shit, lets reform," which sees Royal Headache verge away from High by switching the focus from vocals to a restless guitar riff. Albeit Royal Headache's trademark honeyed hooks and the general nonchalance are still there just hidden below the guitars. And considering the praise for their debut album they could have easily dropped the cool-headedness, but watching them live nothing seems to have changed; Shogun bounces around on stage, dances like he is trying to scratch something on his back he can't quite reach and occasionally mutters a few words between songs. Beforehand there isn't the usual half an hour wait to waste time once they are set up they start up. And overall they channel this sense that they are one of us, just up on stage and not in the crowd going nuts.
