Exclusive: Iceage Sugar go from strength to strength with debut EP, Congrats You Did It

The four-tracker officially drops this Friday August 18.

Following a pretty kickarse 2016 that saw the release of popular single Blush, supports for a heap of great touring acts like Alex Lahey and Jinja Safari, and playing great shows on their own, Iceage Sugar are ready to roll on with their debut EP, Congrats You Did It. Squirreled away for a lot of this year, the band enlisted the services of esteemed local producer Sam Ford (POND, Abbe May) to help them craft four tracks of pure indie-pop perfection. Bringing to mind Australian acts like The Jungle Giants and The Creases, along with just a hint of Phoenix about it, Congrats You Did it puts them right alongside said peers with a varied release that packs plenty of good vibes.

From the EP's opening indie anthem Date Night, to the slightly more introspective Roller Coaster, there is a crisp-ness to Congrats You Did It that's as fresh as getting a Vix Inahler on the dancefloor at just the right time. You can join them on the dancefloor (Vix optional) this Thursday 17 August at El Grotto when they launch the EP, supported by Braves (more info HERE). Until then, enjoy a sneaky advance listen of Congrats You Did It, below:
