Premiere: Listen to Time, a soaring new wave anthem from Wollongong's DROVES
Taken from their early-2019 due debut EP, Bloodline.
DROVES are a Wollongong-based five-piece making some pretty great synth-driven new wave indie at the moment, and their debut cut Time is a wonderful showcase of their retro-futuristic vibe. Phillip Spiteri, Taylor McAuliffe, Jonathan McKenzie, Tiernan Browne and Luise Martin together make up the elements of DROVES, combining for a dystopic sound that feels both old and new at the same time. This new single is something of an anthem for the working class looking to alcohol as an escape, as told in captivating harmonies by vocalists Spiteri and McAuliffe.
It's taken from their forthcoming debut EP, Bloodline, which is due early-2019. Until then though, enjoy Time below:
