With so much new music coming out each and every day, it can be hard to listen to everything... but we'll be damned if we don't try. Here are our favourite tunes from the week that was from the likes of Animal Collective, BENEE, Blonde Redhead, Glitoris, Jay Rock, ODESZA & Yellow House, Olof Dreijer, Sampha, Shanti Celeste and Special Request x Mumdance.

Animal Collective - Defeat

Experimental indie-psych cult faves deliver a mammoth 22-minute new single of exploratory sounds.

BENEE - Do It Again feat. Mallrat

BENEE and Mallrat team up once again, this time for the official theme song of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, delivering a breakbeat infused slice of appropriately anthemic indie pop.

Blonde Redhead - Melody Experiment

Dreamy, downtempo and almost trip-hoppy flavours from veteran New York trio. Blonde Redhead's new album Sit Down For Dinner is out September 29 via section1.

Glitoris - Sock Puppet

Canberra-based punk-rock four-piece return with a melodic, groove-laden new cut. Glitoris' new album Glitoris is out July 14 via Buttercup Records.

Jay Rock - Eastside feat. Kal Banx

Californian MC makes his return five years after last album, bringing Texan rapper Banx along for the two minute ride of trappy, throwback-Memphis style flavours.

ODESZA & Yellow House - Heavier

South African indie-folk artist Yellow House lends his soaring vocals to beloved American duo's new single of atmospheric indie dance sounds. ODESZA's new EP Flaws in Our Design is out July 21 via Foreign Family Collective.

Olof Dreijer - Rosa Rugosa

Formerly one half of cult legends The Knife, Olof makes his return to influential dance label Hessle Audio, bringing his signature synths and melodies into a new decade.

Sampha - Spirit 2.0

After recently appearing on SBTRKT's latest album, Sampha delivers his first solo music in six years and it sees him doing what he does best, delivering soulful, melodic vocals over some jazzy upper tempo dance music sounds.

Shanit Celeste - Fluffy

Atmospheric, percussive & driving tech house vibes from Chilean-born, Bristol-based producer, an exclusive from Saoirse's forthcoming fabric Presents mix. fabric presents Saoirse is out July 14.

Veteran English producers team up to flip Paul Woolfoord's 2008 iconic cut Erotic Discourse into a wild and wonderful six and a half minute rework for Peggy Gou's Gudu Records.
