Chanel Film
Hear supermodel Cara Delevingne sing with Pharrell Williams in a film for Chanel.
Chanel’s Métiers d’Art collection runway show is a pretty special event each year - a new Chanel ready-to-wear collection is debuted outside of the official Chanel show schedule, and the show always hones in on a city that's somehow linked to Chanel's history. This year it heads to historic Salzburg, and is sure to be a spectacle of epic proportions. Head designer Karl Lagerfeld has premiered a film that will accompany the show - Reincarnation - a musical inspired by the history of an iconic Chanel jacket, starring international catwalk crazy chick Cara Delevingne and multiple Grammy-award winning singer Pharrell Williams, an aspiring fashion mogul himself. Pharrell plays an elevator bell-boy whose wearing the jacket in Austria in 1954, and becomes a muse for Delevingne, who plays Coco Chanel.
You can't deny it's a beautifully shot l'il thing, and worth it to hear Delevingne sing for the first time (apparently Cara told ol' mate Karl that she's "wanted to sing for a long time", which led to her bagging some notes in the film). She sings a track written by Pharrell, called CC The World, and is reportedly working on her first single with Williams, too.
