News: BIGSOUND Unveils Stacked 2022 Line-Up

Following the big first conference announcement, BIGSOUND drops full line-up of over 180 acts across 21 venues over three nights

Celebrating its 21st birthday in fine style is Australia’s largest music conference, BIGSOUND, which today has revealed it’s full artist line-up, with over 1,300 applications being painstakingly whittled down to just 182 emerging Australian acts getting to perform on the country’s biggest showcase stage.

From September 6 to 9, over 23 stages across 21 venues, these acts will be showing what they’ve got to the who’s who of the Australian (and international) music industries on the hunt for the “next big thing”. Having not been an in-person BIGSOUND since 2019, this means there are a stack of buzzing artist on the rise making their BIGSOUND debuts alongside the freshest of artists.

Festival programmers Ruby-Jean McCabe and Dominic Miller said “Wow, what a ride! After spending a  month reading and listening to a record number of applications, we are certain that the future of music is in  safe hands. BIGSOUND Showcase programming is a dream job so we would never complain, but it’s hard to put into words what a difficult time we had getting to this final lineup.

The applications this year were of an  extremely high calibre, and we could have easily programmed another 180+ artists if we had the space. We can’t wait for these artists to arrive in Fortitude Valley for BIGSOUND 2022 and for everyone else to see how special they are too.”

Check out the absolutely stacked line-up below!

BIGSOUND 2022 runs from Tuesday September 6 to Friday September 9, Fortitude Valley Brisbane QLD. Tickets available at bigsound.org.au
