Music Video Premiere: Boox Kid - The Battle

Wardandi/Bibbulmun singer & producer releases a super fun superhero-themed, Godzilla-influenced music video for his latest single

Following the release of his latest single of impassioned electro-pop The Battle, Boorloo-based artist Boox (pronounced ‘books’) Kid has readied an incredible Godzilla and superhero themed music video, premiering on Pilerats today!

The Battle is Boox Kid’s first new music for 2023 after a busy few years for the artist that have seen his singles receive radio play across the country as well as featuring on lineups including Bigsound, WAMfest, Nannup Music Festival, Perth Festival. Featuring thumping drums alongside swirling & sweeping synths, The Battle keeps Book Kid's signature layered vocals and emotive harmonies up front, while lyrically the song explores a narrative of struggle and what someone must do to be triumphant.

As the music video details, this struggle to be overcome is saving planet earth from Bill The Destroyer - a giant, laser beam shooting, flamethrower wielding robot hellbent on destruction. Three superheroes go from strangers to a united force as they team up to defeat Bill in this fun and very cleverly crafted video, directed by local artist Steven Browne.

Featuring awesome video trickery & techniques including tilt-shift, manga-style illustrations and plenty of green screen magic, the music video for The Battle brings the song to life in a visual manner with amazing results.

Give The Battle a watch as it premieres on Pilerats today!
