As if Rihanna wasn't already having a huge 2016, with latest album ANTI having been a huge success and the Drake-featuring single Work still, seeminlgly, everywhere. But now, as if to just keep the ball rolling, the Barbadian pop queen has joined forces with the upcoming Star Trek: Beyond and previous collaborator Sia for new single Sledgehammer. Premiering alongside the third trailer for Star Trek: Beyond, directed by Justin Lin (formerly of the Fast & Furious franchise), Sledgehammer sees Rihanna pairing up again with the aforementioned Sia, their first collaboration since Rihanna's hit single Diamonds from 2012's Unapologetic. Finding the ever popular Rihanna doing her very best Adele/Sia impression, the grand, dramatic effort pairs up exquisitely with the action-packed film trailer, and Captain Kirk's dramatic, melancholic dialog.
