Award winning British MC caps off a huge 12 months with fifth studio album

Following-up last year’s Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, her acclaimed fourth album that won the Mercury Prize, MOBO Award and Best Hip-Hop Record at the Libera Awards, as well as ending up in a myriad of Best Albums of 2021 lists, is Little Simz, finishing up a huge year today by dropping her rapid-fire-rhyme packed fifth album, NO THANK YOU.

Off the back of a year of sold-out shows and festival slots, NO THANK YOU sees Simz embrace a more luscious, soulful, chilled r&b influenced sound on the album produced by Inflo, a member of the mysterious, hotly tipped collective SAULT, who also produced her last record. Furthering this relationship, the record is released through Forever Living Originals, Inflo’s label that has released all of SAULT and fellow Simz’ collaborator Cleo Sol’s records.

On the album, Simz has released the following statement:

emotion is energy in motion.

honour your truth and feelings.

eradicate fear.

boundaries are important.
