Exclusive Stream: Purpose's new mixtape, If The City Had A Voice Vol. 5

The Aussie rapper gets things started on a busy 2016.

Australian hip hop artist Purpose releases the latest in his long-running If The City Had A Voice mixtape series, with the fifth installment of the series seeing its release exclusively first here on Pilerats. A favourite among fellow industry artists such as Illy, Hilltop Hoods and more, Purpose is currently also preparing his second full-length album Make Yourself At Home for release later in 2016. The follow up to debut album Where It Starts, which made an appearance on the ARIA charts in 2013 and spawned hit single (and triple j favourite) Coming Home, featuring Illy, Jimmy Nice and Joyride.

Renowned for his lyrical ability and emotional depth, having previously represented Australia at various MC competitions around the world, If The City Had A Voice Vol. 5 finds Purpose utilising famous beats from artists such as Kanye West, J Cole and Drake to unleash his extraordinary lyricism, and whet appetites nation-wide for his upcoming Make Yourself At Home album and national tour, via Nu Jaq Touring (with venues and dates to come).
