Premiere: Tiaryn's second EP tease Who Is This is rich, moody pop at its best

Premiere: Tiaryn's second EP tease Who Is This is rich, moody pop at its best

The Melbourne singer-songwriter will be launching the EP at The Workers Club in mid-August.

Although not too well-known amongst the Australian pop circuit, Tiaryn has the potential to be a star. After launching her forthcoming EP with its lead single Falling a few months back, the EP's second single Who Is This showcases this potential perfectly, solidifying early comparisons to Little Dragon by combining electrifying pop vocals with a gripping, yet moody production that compliments her woozy vocals. Who Is This is one of these singles that swerve between genres, following suit from other Australian-raised acts like George Maple. It's definitely pop, but with that slight electronic instrumental backbone and the nostalgic, 90s R&B-esque tinge to her vocals, Who Is This is layered with intricate complexities that make it a little more of a rewarding listen in comparison to some of the other international pop music on the market right now.

Originally Perth-based, Tiaryn will be launching her upcoming EP - expected sometime in the next few months - with a gig at Melbourne's The Workers Club on August 17. More deets will be arriving on the show and the EP's full release shortly, but in the mean-time, get washed up in the gripping sounds of Tiaryn and Who Is This below:
