Premiere: Owen Rabbit blends humans and nature in the video clip for Weeds

Another beguiling effort from one of the country's most intriguing young producers.

One of this country's most endearing young producer/songwriters, Owen Rabbit today unveils the video clip for his triumphant latest single Weeds. The clip brings to mind the films of Ron Fricke (Samsara, Baraka), blending the natural and human worlds and set perfectly to his equal parts organic and digital new single. Describing the inspiration for the clip, which he worked on with Spanish filmmaker VJ Ayl, Owen Rabbit said: "Weeds is about trying to milk a stone. The video, for me; is about the subtle unsteadiness of normality. The slow grind of all the world's flashy possibilities and their eventual fatal irrelevance." Typically heady stuff from one of Australia's most intriguing and thought-provoking artists.
