Premiere: Perth's Mwansa and Lauren-Joy link up for Wildest Dreams

It's the perfect introduction to two artists perhaps not on your radar just yet.

If you're yet to be acquainted, Mwansa and Lauren-Joy are two rising names from two very different places which together, are amongst some of R&B's most exciting bubbling names at the moment. The former is actually based here in Perth, slowly becoming an artist worth keeping an eye on as he deepens his discography over the years, while the latter comes from South Africa, and is stepping forward as a one-to-watch amongst the soulful R&B world. Wildest Dreams sees them come together for three-minutes of this remarkable soul, utilising an electronic-tinged backbone for Joy to gently float over as her vocals rise and gall amongst Mwansa's intricate production.

"‘At first I was pretty nervous. but when I eventually received the track, I followed the same process that seems to work for me - blasting the track with my body stretched out on the floor, immersing myself in the track, reaching for the words and images it throws my way," Joy says on the process she took to get to Wildest Dreams' final sound. "What I love most about my process is that, as much as the process remains the same almost sacred, the words and images that every song gives me is a new story to tell. A story you can relive to your heart's content."
