After recently winning the WAM Song of the Year Award for Best Electronic Song with her single We’ve Got Time, Anna O is back with the big, bold & bouncy sounds of Falling, out August 18 but premiering on Pilerats today.
Taking things in a more intense direction to what we’ve previously heard from Anna, Falling is a tension-building affair that saw her team up with producer Luke Minness (PRISCILLA, Have A Good Day) to craft this striking new cut of electronic alt-pop. Opening with stripped back synths paired with O’s commanding vocals, the tension soon gives way to the ecstatic sounds of pounding drums and thunderous samples to great effect.
Speaking on the meaning behind Falling, Anna explains “For me, this song is about what it can feel like when you’re willing to start asking the hard questions, and then listen to that deep inner dialogue that is so often drowned out by everyday life.”
