Listen to Tove Lo's infectious new single Cool Girl

The Flume collaborator embraces her alternative side with a bubbly, house-infused new track.

Tove Lo is an artist whose become inescapable in the past year, with a whole heap of cuts from her Queen of the Clouds album finding their way onto commercial radio stations for much of the last 12 months. However since collaborating with Flume on the sprawling Say It, she's suddenly opened herself up to a whole new audience and gained a lot of attention from the more alternative side of electronic, who may have been overlooking her before based on her status as a 'radio artist' (a stupid argument, but it happens). On her new single Cool Girl, it sounds like Tove Lo is embracing this newfound attention, with the singer-songwriter toying with some rather left-field sounds compared to what she typically works with. Cool Girl is a bubbly track with funk-house nuances littered throughout, particularly in that deep, swollen synth melody.
