Listen: Mickey Kojak - Hit It

The first original from Kojak in over one and a half years.

It's been quite a while since the name Mickey Kojak popped up on the interwebs, mainly due to the fact that since the release of his debut single Feel My Pain, which was bloody massive by the way, he's been buried in the studio recording a follow up and touring, dropping only a remix or two since then. Now, almost two years later, we get to hear the first taste of the Sydney-sider's follow up. It's in the form a funky house number called Hit It and I would be lying if I said it wasn't as good as his debut. With spoken vocals, a ferocious, funk-infused house drop, hand claps and quick-paced, driving synth, Hit It is a damn fine return to form from the young producer, who is still making waves in the Australian house scene thanks to his debut. With more tunes promised shortly, it's safe to say that there'll be a fair bit of untz coming up from Kojak and just quietly, we've heard through the grapevine (aka from the king Motez) that what he has coming up is gonna set a new benchmark in Aussie electronic music (evidence down the bottom).
