Listen: Lapsley - Burn

You need to know Lapsley.

All the best artists know to mix equal parts music with internet, English singer Lapsley nails that combo with latest single Burn and this sick burn:

The track in question is part of a two-song release, the other piece is titled Hurt Me. Sonically Burn reflects the title of the song, it starts out gently with wafting piano keys and some vocal interplay by Lapsley but over time the fire starts to grow. A slow thudding drum comes in, Lapsley's vocals are cut up more and move faster, synths quickly glide into the fray growing louder over time. Before reaching the penultimate moment before the wildfire breaks out where pauses for a moment. But then a distorted drum crashes in and Lapsley's smooth voices start cracking up. Leaving you with a sonic vision of the song akin to the warped artwork.
