Listen: Aela Kae - Tree Talk [Premiere]

After releasing her debut EP, Reverie, Aela Kae is back again with her latest track Tree Talk. Tree Talk builds upon the sounds of songs like We Come Back, which we were lucky enough to premiere, but there is an overwhelming sense of strength wreathed throughout the atmosphere of Tree Talk where We Come Back oozed a delicacy. The opening piano and gentle hand claps drive the piece forwards but the airy charm of Aela Kae's vocals still whispers throughout the track. Until it changes completely with a ravenous electronic beat that slides between Trip-Hop and more experimental sounds. This voracious beat devours Aela Kae's voice to mere a shadow of its strength before leaving only the writhing beat. Tree Talk is part of a sound made up of artists like JOY and Kucka but unlike their tracks where you know straight away what you're getting Aela Kae keeps you guessing.
