Listen: I’lls – Let Me Have Just One
This ex-Jazz trio out of Melbourne have dropped a wraith of a tune.
If you're having trouble sleeping and you need some dreamy beats for the late night then I’llls (pronounced 'isles') have got you covered. I’lls is made up of Dan Rutman, Hamish Mitchell and Simon Lam, and these three have been refining their unique sound for a few years now, releasing Thread in 2011, A Warm Reception in 2013 and a double-sided 12-inch last year which featured well-received tracks Fifty Phiphti and Asakusa.
Recently scoring a spot on the Splendour line-up, this trio of ex-jazz students have now put out a new single called Let Me Have Just One. Featuring on their upcoming release Can I Go With You To Go Back To My Country, the new track is loaded with muted bass and ambient soundscapes, and accompanied by melancholy vocals that whip you into a late-night dream daze. One should acquire a good pair of headphones for this tune because the underlying bass tones are pretty epic.
I’lls’ forthcoming EP is out on June 6 via Australian label Solitaire, but for now you can listen to their single Let Me Have Just One below:
